Ravenna is waiting for you for a Christmas journey between ancient and contemporary mosaic.
You will have the opportunity to visit The Capital of Mosaic illuminated, not only by the golden lights of its mosaics, but also by the Christmas arrangements and walk among the Christmas huts that characterize Piazza del Popolo during the holidays.
The unmissable guided tour of five of the eight UNESCO sites, combined with the exhibitionBURRIRAVENNAORO at the MAR - Museum of Art of the city, will allow you to retrace the history of the mosaic, from the early Christian age to the present day, in a journey through time and space.
Day 1)
arrival in Ravenna and hotel accommodation.
In the early afternoon meeting at 13.20 at the Tourist Information Office of Piazza San Francesco 7 and participation in the guided tour of the Mosaic Tiles group. The tour will take you to discover 5 of the 8 Unesco monuments of Ravenna. The service, lasting 3 hours, will end around 17.00.
In the late afternoon tasting of local wines accompanied by food of the territory at the Covered Market of Ravenna.
Day 2)
After breakfast at the hotel, meeting at 10.50 am at the MAR - Museo d'Arte della Città for the guided tour to free aggregation Burri Ravenna Oro & the Contemporary Mosaic. The service, lasting 2 hours, will end around 13.30.
Free lunch.
In the afternoon visit to Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste (free admission) to discover the exhibition "Episodi di Mosaico Contemporaneo" and walk independently through the historic center, between the Christmas huts in Piazza del Popolo.
